It's very telling that 7.15p (that's about 15 cents USD) is more than an artist makes on traditional sales of discs. They should be getting at least a couple dollars per. Otherwise, what's the point of putting out a disc on a major label when you could do them yourself and make $2-$5 per after expenses?
I suppose for that to be effective you'd need a local station that plays non-major-label music and a good manager to do the
PR that the major label would otherwise do. But still. Pennies! Pennies per disc! It's insane!
