The Gufs - Upcoming Shows - WisMusic

The Gufs, a "legendary" rock band in the Milwaukee area has been fairly active as of late. Earlier this year the band released their first album in several years... now they've scheduled a few new shows to conclude the year... check out their website at http://www.thegufs.com for all the tour dates.

One notable show is Thursday, October 25, 2007 - a special acoustic show @ The UWM Gasthaus. Goran, lead singer of The Gufs, has performed at the UWM Gasthaus the last couple of years and he returns again this year. The shows used to be FREE (not sure if it's free this year) and has always been a good time. I'll be heading out again this year to catch this show.

Also of note, the band will be holding a special New Years Eve show with details yet to be announced. Opening for the band on New Years Eve is a fellow Milwaukee band Northern Room. Check them out as well... they are pretty cool! http://www.myspace.com/northernroom

Thanks for the info Steve! I'd actually heard one of The Gufs' songs on 102.1 and couldn't for the life of me find out who it was by for the longest time... so thanks!!

The Gufs have been a mainstay act for several years at Sheboygan's Lakefest. I'm not sure if they still do that venue, but while I was a Sheboygan resident, the show was always a must see. I was invited onstage with them to toast off a couple tunes on harmonica. They laiy down a good groove.
I recommend seeing them.
